About the event
This event brings together Nordic and Colombian experts on the impact of waste on biodiversity to discuss how moving towards a circular economy can help counter the loss of biodiversity.
The extraction of resources is often to the detriment of biodiversity. Turning waste into a resource in a circular economy can substitute extraction and thus help reduce the negative impact on biodiversity.
The circular economy offers a gateway to systemic transformation of how we produce and consume. It is an essential key to tackle the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. A just and inclusive transition towards a circular economy requires sustainable business practices. Industries need to enter into a circular economy by making their products recyclable and by reusing resources in production.
From local academic experts and leading Nordic companies we will experience a conversation on how circular business practices can assist in reducing biodiversity…
